Job description
You are part of Wooting’s legal and operations team, collaborating closely with external legal counsel and internal stakeholders. As a Junior Legal and IP Coordinator, you support the management of Wooting’s intellectual property portfolio and assist the company’s overall legal function. You help coordinate trademark and patent communications, maintain organized records, and support efforts to keep Wooting’s intellectual property well documented and protected.
A key part of your role involves supporting the management of Wooting’s trademark portfolio. You assist with trademark filings, oppositions, and responses in coordination with our trademark lawyer. You help track deadlines, ensure documentation is properly organized, and support monitoring of legal costs to maintain budget awareness.
On the patent portfolio side, you assist in liaising with patent counsel to track applications, review communications, and help summarize updates for the team. You follow up on assigned tasks, help monitor pending matters, and escalate issues when needed to ensure progress stays on track.
Beyond intellectual property, you support general legal operations including assisting with contract drafting and review, researching compliance requirements, and helping communicate updates to stakeholders.

Remote work
The entire team works remote from home, (shared) workspace, a cafe, or a combination. There is a small office in the Netherlands, an office in Taichung, and Taipei Taiwan. Office time is not mandatory, instead it’s a place for collaboration, focus, and equipment to help you get the job done.
The Wooting team is primarily located in the Netherlands consisting of customer service, software developers, and marketing. The second largest concentration of the the team is located in Taiwan consisting product development and customer service. The CCO is currently located in the Netherlands, CTO in Vietnam, and CEO in Taiwan. There are also colleagues in Canada, Denmark, United Kingdom, and Norway.
We communicate entirely in English.

Job details

- Trademark Portfolio Management: Assist with trademark filings, oppositions, and responses in coordination with the trademark lawyer. Help track deadlines, maintain organized documentation, and support monitoring of portfolio-related costs and legal fees.
- Patent Portfolio Support: Assist patent counsel by tracking applications, reviewing communications, and helping summarize updates for the team. Follow up on assigned items and escalate issues when needed.
- Contracts: Support the drafting and review of contracts between Wooting and external parties, helping ensure consistency and flagging potential risks for senior review.
- Compliance Research & Risk Management: Conduct research on relevant regulations and compliance requirements, and support the team in maintaining compliance under guidance from senior stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
Optional skills:
- Experience with patent law, trademark law, or intellectual property management.
- Experience with EU GDPR and data protection compliance.

Remote work/geographical
- Located in Taiwan. Informal work environment.
- Flexible working hours with required overlap of 2-4 hours with collaborating team(s) and 1 mandatory company-wide gathering on Tuesday.
- No fixed “must be in” office hours, you work as a team, and come together to collaborate.
- Freely choose to work from home or office in: Taichung or Taipei.
- You can freely arrange days off as long as you assure close coordination with the team and your own ability to keep up with work.
