What's inside the box?

Let's first double-check if you've received a complete Wooting 60HE v2 Aluminium Case package.

  • 1x Wooting 60HE v2 Aluminium Case
  • 1x Wooting strap
  • 1x Silicone strap attachment piece
  • 2x Strap binding post screws
  • 1x Decorative 'no strap' piece
  • 1x Strap attachment piece (stainless steel)
  • 3x Case strap attachment screws (M2x3mm)
  • 1x Silicone dampening layer
  • 1x EPDM Foam dampening layer

Installing a PCBA

If you're using the Wooting 60HE v2 PCBA, make sure the friction fit pad is installed (it should be if you just unpacked it). If it is, pop it into the case by first laying in the north side of the PCBA and gently pressing the rest of it into the case.

Strap/no-strap mounts

Your Wooting 60HE v2 Aluminium Case has a 'strap mount piece' installed by default, you can however swap out the basic strap mount piece and replace it with the 'stainless steel' option, or the no-strap option if you don't like our beloved strap. Use a PH1 screwdriver to remove the screws from the inside of the case and then take the mount off.

Strap assembly

Let's make your 60HE v2 Aluminium Case stand out. Assemble the Wooting strap onto the clip using the silicone attachment.

  1. Pull the silicone attachment through the clip hole located on the left top side of your 60HE v2 Aluminium Case (by default).
  2. Fold the Wooting strap in half and align the screw holes. Then align the folded strap with one side of the silicone attachment's screw holes.
  3. Push the female (binding post) screw through the aligned holes, covering 3/4 layers. Add the last layer to the female screw and squeeze it together as a strap sandwich. Now you can screw and tighten the male screw.
  4. Repeat step 3 for the second binding post screw.

Bottom case dampening

Your Wooting 60HE v2 Aluminium Case has a silicone dampening layer inside by default, but we also added an EPDM foam layer. You can swap out the silicone for the EPDM foam, or leave the case empty, to change your keyboard's sound profile.

Silicone Block - The clackier and sharper option (pre-installed).

EPDM Foam - The slightly thockier, deeper option.

No case dampening - If you prefer to hear the resonance of your case.

Wootility

Wootility is the software to configure your keyboard with. We have two versions of Wootility. A lightweight web version and a downloadable app. Whichever you choose, you don't need to have the Wootility running after configuring your keyboard.

We constantly improve our firmware and software. Make sure you have the latest and greatest by updating your keyboard straight away.

Go to https://wootility.io and connect your keyboard. Then:

  • If a firmware update is available, you'll see a notification automatically. Alternatively, go to Settings → Updates → My Devices, hover over your device, and start the update.
  • For software updates, go to Settings → Updates and click 'Check for updates'
