Wootility v5.1.x are the last versions to support Windows 7/8/8.1, starting from Wootility v5.2.x and onwards only Windows 10 or newer will be supported, following the deprecation of older Windows in Chromium and Electron in 2023

Summary

This update introduces live RGB Effects preview and adds the Debounce Filter to prevent issues caused by key bouncing. The release also includes interface improvements, new Switchy Profile icons, better profile management, and various fixes.

[ARM] Live RGB Effects Preview

See your keyboard's RGB effects in real-time directly in Wootility. This lets you preview lighting changes instantly without looking away from your screen, making it easier to customise colours and patterns.

[ARM] Debounce Filter

This feature prevents issues caused by key bouncing when keys return to their resting position, ensuring clean, single inputs every time. Navigate to Settings → Keyboard Settings and enable the Debounce Filter option. Previously only available in test builds, it's now ready for all ARM keyboard users.

General

• Optimised device connection. Reloading profiles is skipped when nothing has changed since the last connection (does not apply to Flaretech boards).
• Added Just-in-time control for Mod Tap Advanced Keys, enabling Home row mods. Please share your feedback with us as you try this feature.

• RGB Sleep mode can now keep LEDs dimly lit forever instead of turning completely off.
• Added Import Profile button to the Profiles dropdown for easier access.

• Devices with firmware older than v2.7 will now be required to update their firmware to use Wootility.

• Connected devices now properly sort to the top of the Device Selector.
• Restored Chroma Connect functionality with additional improvements.
• Fixed Quick Settings, Actuation Point and Rapid Trigger editors changing or resetting values that you didn't mean to modify.
• Fixed crashes when connecting devices with v2.10 firmware to Wootility.
• Fixed gamepad angle adjustments not saving properly.
• Fixed gamepad configuration issues that could prevent profiles from applying or saving properly.
• Fixed Ctrl/Cmd + S triggering unnecessary profile saves when no changes were made.
